Dr. Grayson Wallace grew up Charleston, SC. She graduated with honors from both Washington & Lee University (BS, 2008) and University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, 2012).
Dr. Wallace had spent multiple summers working in the DC area, and was excited to have the opportunity to come back to Northern Virginia after graduating. She completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center, before working as an associate at Ballston Animal Hospital. She loved being a part of the BAH team, and only left to pursue a Residency in Small Animal Genetics, Pediatrics, & Reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania. She is now a boarded Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists which means she is a licensed specialist in canine & feline reproduction. Additionally, Dr. Wallace is a residency-trained specialist in breed-related diseases & genetics, neonatology, and pediatrics. On the opposite end of the spectrum, she also has strong interests in veterinary acupuncture, oncology, and geriatric medicine. After 4 years at high-end reproductive practice in Leesburg, she was ready to cut down her commute and come back to her roots at BAH. Dr. Wallace is thrilled to be re-joining the Ballston Animal Hospital team, where she can pursue her wide array of veterinary interests and offer the highest quality progressive medicine to her patients and clients.
In her spare time, Dr. Wallace enjoys exploring DC and it’s indie music scene, running, and hiking with her pups. She has bred and raised English Toy Spaniels and fosters for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. Dr. Wallace and her finance live in Capitol Hill. They share their home with Griffin (her faithful senior Cavalier), Beatrice (the English Toy Spaniel foundation momma), and a dramatic cat who rules them all named Marley Mae.
