Dr. Tripp originally hails from Conklin, New York. She received a BS in Biology from Southampton College, Long Island University in 1987. Prior to attending veterinary school, she worked for Northeast Fisheries Service and tended bar in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Dr. Tripp received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Her thesis involved the study of orangutans at Tanjung Puting Reserve in Borneo. She has been happily practicing veterinary medicine in Northern Virginia since 1993 and joined Ballston Animal Hospital in February 2006. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, two sons, two dogs, two cats, one leopard gecko, one fire belly toad, and five fish.
