Dr. Samantha Scher is a Florida girl, born and raised. She received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida in 2004 and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Shortly after graduation, she attended the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine where she studied small animal acupuncture. After practicing for a year in Lake Worth, Florida, Dr. Scher took a “leap of faith” and moved to Northern Virginia. She worked in Manassas for two years before joining Ballston Animal Hospital in August 2013.
In her free time, Dr. Scher enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, playing softball, traveling to Florida to visit her family, and watching college football. GO GATORS! She lives in Alexandria with her husband, son, and two dogs – a YorkiPoo named Barkley, and a miniature poodle named Magnus.
